Wee Movers and you!

  • Baby Dance

    RECOMMENDED AGE 0 – 9 months

Our signature Baby Dance classes let caregivers dance with their babies (slings not essential). No baby music, just fun, uplifting tunes and a chance to dance, while the babies enjoy the movement. There will also be extra time to have a chat and mingle.

Twins? Triplets? We’re always happy top help out and hold a baby. Or bring along an extra caregiver for no extra cost!

  • Wee Movers: Age 2-3

Start your Saturday with some serious fun by dancing with your wee one! Grown-ups and children are invited to collaborate and explore movement together through set steps and improvisation. After an energetic warm-up to prepare the body and mind, each class will follow a different theme or story, incorporating props, rhymes and music.

The postures and stretches in this class are used to help maintain natural flexibility (no hands on corrections are given) and both children and adults are encouraged to work with movement that feels comfortable for them.

  • Wee Movers: Age 4-7

Wee Movers are encouraged to create, express and enjoy themselves through a lively warm-up to music, basic contemporary dance steps and yoga stretches. Each week will focus on a different theme or adventure to stimulate their imaginations and develop their movement skills. Children will also be encouraged to work independently (and where appropriate, in small groups) to create and share their own movement with confidence.

The postures and stretches in this class are used to help maintain natural flexibility.

Please note, to attend this class children are required to be toilet trained and comfortable in a class environment without a parent or carer present.

  • Corporate Workshops

Want to add something a little different to your away days or office party? Wee Movers isn’t just for the wee ones – we teach grown-ups to move too.

Every floor is a dance floor! Don’t worry about transporting your team to another location, wherever your team are based, we’ll come to you.

Have a look at our corporate workshops page for clear prices and more info.

  • Wee Movers: Age 7-9

A class for the slightly older Wee Movers with a focus on contemporary technique and choreography. Children are encouraged to create, express and enjoy themselves.

  • Adults Contemporary Dance

We have two levels of adult class - complete beginners and a progression class.

Explore the fluidity and creativity of contemporary dance. These classes will cover a release based warm-up, technique, improvisation, and choreography building each week to a longer phrase of movement.

  • Wee Movers Ceilidh's

True to our Scottish roots, every January to coincide with Burn's night we host two Ceilidh with our friends at local Scottish café Deeeny's.

There's a family ceilidh during the day, open to all for an afternoon of dancing with the family. And in the evening we host a full Burn's supper and ceilidh to let our hair down Scottish-style. Both are with a full ceilidh band and callers.

  • Pop Ups & Events

We are always happy to pop-up and offer a Wee Movers experience at your event - this could be anything from a party or even a work away day where you are looking to move, dance and get out of your head and into your body!

  • Wee Movers at your Nursery or School

Wee Movers classes can all be adapted for nursery and primary school settings. Working in collaboration with the nursery or school, sessions are tailored to the age group and focus on themes to complement their learning (e.g. shapes, numbers, seasons etc).

These sessions can be booked as part of extra-curricular activity in after-school settings or integrated into a weekly lesson.

For more information, or to book a trial session, please contact Fiona.
